Join the entire Pathfinder Village community as it celebrates its 20th annual Summer Concert Series this summer. A mainstay of the local arts schedule, these concerts feature free, live music performances each Saturday evening in July and August, starting on July 8 at 7 p.m. The public is cordially invited.
Pathfinder Village celebrated the achievements of employees and its unique sense of community during a special luncheon at The Otesaga Resort Hotel, Cooperstown, on Thursday, June 15. Altogether, 26 employees were honored for their collective 265 years of service to Pathfinder Village and its residents, students and service recipients.
Colgate Athletics honored Pathfinder student J.T. Fadale, Pathfinder parent and Foundation Trustee Stephanie Fadale, and Assistant Enrichment Director Charleen Orendorff at this week’s tenth annual Golden ‘Gates Awards. The ceremony is an annual event at the storied liberal arts university in Hamilton that honors student-athletes, coaches, and other members of the Colgate Raiders community.
Pathfinder Village will offer another fun and engaging semester of OVER 21 Classes this spring, running from March through May. Regular classes will focus on physical fitness and the creative arts, and are open to the community. Several courses require pre-registration, and there are modest instructor and materials fees associated with the classes. Pathfinder Village, a remarkable planned residential community for people with Down syndrome and other disabilities, will launch a new #DsRock project to join the global celebration of World Down Syndrome Day on Tuesday, March 21. The DsRocks Project is a Facebook Group through which people show support for those with Trisomy 21 through positive messages on hand-painted stones.
The Pathfinder Village Foundation announces that Victoria Johnson, Deborah LeCates, Carolyn Lewis, and Thomas Novack have been elected to the Board of Trustees. The Foundation raises funds and public awareness for Pathfinder Village, an internationally renowned planned residential community that offers an array of quality residential, educational, vocational, volunteer, and other services to people living with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.
