Create Your Own Path!
Independence, Self-Advocacy, Confidence, Hands-on Learning & Vocational Experiences in an Amazing Community
Welcome to Otsego Academy, where students with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities embrace a love of learning on their path to adulthood and greater independence. Our two-year transitional program offers young adults opportunities to develop and refine independent living skills and peer-to-peer relationships in a residential setting.
For most students, this is their first time living away from home. Our specialized setting provides the support students need to grow in capability and confidence. The path to future employment begins with career exploration and hands-on training experiences through internships at Pathfinder Village and businesses in the local community.
OA students enjoy a rich social life with activities on our campus and at local colleges. Otsego Academy operates in partnership with educators and professionals from Pathfinder Village, an internationally renowned open-access community located in a pristine village in central New York State.
