Day Habilitation Manager

The Day Habilitation Manager is to provide oversight of effective day-to-day operation of day habilitation programs under the supervision of the Director and Clinical Coordinator of Adult Services. The Day Habilitation Manager will be responsible for staff supervision as well as the development of habilitative and or vocational activities and options for individuals served by Pathfinder Village Day Habilitation Services. 

Qualifications

  • Education: Preferred - Bachelor's degree, Required - high school or equivalency
  • Required Licenses: Valid NYS clean driver's license
  • Required Experience: At least one year of experience working with individuals with I/DD
  • Preferred: Supervisor/management experience

Hourly Rate: $19.00 

Community Engagement Coordinator/Executive Assistant

The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC)/Executive Assistant (EA) provides top-level support and assistance to the CEO and senior management teams of Pathfinder Village, Pathfinder Village Foundation, and the Kennedy-Willis Center. The CEC/EA is the lead planner and organizer for community events, Board meetings, and manages the development, and implementation of events that increase public awareness of and generates financial support for Pathfinder Village and the Pathfinder Village Foundation. The strongest candidates will be self-starters and strong multitaskers, have excellent time management and organizational skills, and are professional in all forms of communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the key planner for Pathfinder’s community events and promotions
  • Works with the Marketing and Grants Administrator to maintain Pathfinder Village’s social media pages.
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of all logistics for Board meetings and events
  • Act as the liaison between the CEO and the Board of Directors for Pathfinder Village, the Pathfinder Foundation, and the Kennedy-Willis Center.
  • Act as a liaison between CEO and senior leadership team
  • Calendar management for CEO, prioritize inquiries and requests, while troubleshooting conflicts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external parties on all matters pertaining to the CEO, including those of a confidential or critical nature.
  • Work closely with the CEO to keep her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in event planning and executive/management administration assistance
  • Education – Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree is preferred

Annual salary starts at $41,600 and is commensurate with experience.

Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher will provide direct instructional, evaluative, and supervisory services to all students to ensure the quality of classroom programs at the Pathfinder Village School in accordance with the Pathfinder Village mission “that each life may find meaning.”  The teacher will identify strengths and needs that will lead to a comprehensive individualized education program and promote independence, inclusion, individuality, productivity, and self-determination for students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans a psycho-educational model of programs for each student; this includes the setting of objectives and goals, which reflect the student’s educational, emotional, and behavioral strengths and needs
  • Administers tests, writes reports, and completes all required documentation on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Formally reports to parents and home school districts, the child’s progress on an ongoing basis.
  • Supervises teacher assistants/aides who are responsible to him/her in assisting in the education of all students.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the students’ IEPs and all related services, goals and objectives listed on the IEP.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in special education
  • Certification as a special education teacher from NYSED
  • Valid NYS driver's license

Annual salary starts at $50,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Bakery/Cafe Aide

Under the direction of the Manager of Ancillary Services and supervision of the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Aide assists in all areas of the bakery/café.

Responsibilities include:

  • preparation of baked goods
  • line cooking
  • front of the house/cash register
  • sanitation.

This is a Monday - Friday part-time position. Hours: 7:00am to 11:30am.

Rate of pay: $15.75 an hour

Experience in food service preferred.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Pathfinder Village presently has 12-hour shift openings for Direct Support Professionals. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required.

3 - 4 day work week.

No prior work experience is required. 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Starting hourly rate ranges from $15.75 to $19.00 an hour, commensurate with experience.
