At Pathfinder Village, the Job Coach is a part of our Prevocational Department of Adult Day Services. The Job Coach helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop vocational and interpersonal skills necessary to maintain successful integrated employment. Additionally, they may assist individuals in learning how to perform specific job tasks, as well as support individuals in navigating the workplace and communicating with employers. This position requires a candidate to have a high level of organization and time management skills.

Duties:

• Managing a caseload of individuals with disabilities
• Coordinating daily schedules
• Plan writing
• Daily documentation
• Ensure all required hours with individuals are met on a monthly basis

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Clean driving record
• One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities

Hourly wage starts at $16.75 an hour and is commensurate with experience.

Pathfinder School is seeking a temporary classroom aide.

Dates: Upon hire through June 2025

The classroom aide provides direct instructional or residential support services to children individually and in small groups under the general supervision of the special education teacher during school hours, and to the house manager when working residentially. Classroom aides are a part of a team working to support children in their instructional and residential program. As such, they are expected to support and assist in the general operation of the classroom or house. The classroom aide supports students to become more independent in the areas of academics, communication, behavior management, pre-vocational training, and other areas of daily living skills.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Hourly rate starts at $16 an hour and is commensurate with experience.

The Otsego Academy and Camp Specialist is responsible for supporting Otsego Academy students during their academic year. They will assist with planning, teaching, and providing individualized support to ensure students thrive in the Otsego Academy program. In the summer, Otsego Academy and Camp Specialist transitions to a camp leadership role and is responsible for participating in planned activities and creating camp experiences that foster growth, social connection, and skill building. They will work closely with the Post-Secondary Community Habilitation Coordinator, the Coordinator of Enrichment and Community Life, and other Direct Support Professionals to ensure that academic, enrichment, and camp programming is aligned. During the academic year, this role will report to the Director of Education for supervision, and during camp sessions, this role will report to the Post-Secondary Community Habilitation Coordinator.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma
• Valid NYS driver’s license
• Willingness to obtain NYS Teaching Assistant License

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree in human services or related field
• NYS Teaching Assistant License
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Hourly rate: Starting at $18 an hour, commensurate with experience

Under the direction of the Manager of Ancillary Service, this position is responsible for providing support in all areas of ancillary service (Central Kitchen, Bakery, Cooper Transport, Housekeeping). Daily tasks will be assigned as needed to cover immediate areas of need.

Assignments Will Include:

• Food deliveries
• Cleaning of dietary work areas
• Food prep, cooking, and baking of items to be sold in the Pathfinder Bakery
• Transportation of individuals to/from work locations and family meeting destinations
• Package deliveries on campus
• Housekeeping tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Rate of pay is $15.75 an hour

The Occupational Therapist will work within our educational team in the school setting to provide quality and caring services to students with developmental disabilities. Qualification

• Current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of New York
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from a program approved by the New York Department of Education, OR Graduate Certificate in Occupational Therapy from a College or University whose program is registered by the State Education Department or accredited by a national accreditation agency.

Hourly rate starts at $50 an hour and is commensurate with experience.

The Special Education Teacher will provide direct instructional, evaluative, and supervisory services to all students to ensure the quality of classroom programs at the Pathfinder Village School in accordance with the Pathfinder Village mission “that each life may find meaning.”  The teacher will identify strengths and needs that will lead to a comprehensive individualized education program and promote independence, inclusion, individuality, productivity, and self-determination for students.

Responsibilities include:

• Plans a psycho-educational model of programs for each student; this includes the setting of objectives and goals, which reflect the student’s educational, emotional, and behavioral strengths and needs
• Administers tests, writes reports, and completes all required documentation on a timely and accurate basis.
• Formally reports to parents and home school districts, the child’s progress on an ongoing basis.
• Supervises teacher assistants/aides who are responsible to him/her in assisting in the education of all students.
• Responsible for the delivery of the students’ IEPs and all related services, goals and objectives listed on the IEP.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in special education preferred, bachelor's degree required
• Certification as a special education teacher from NYSED
• Valid NYS driver's license

Annual salary starts at $50,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Pathfinder Village presently has 12-hour shift openings for Direct Support Professionals. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required.

3 - 4 day work week.

No prior work experience is required. 

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Starting hourly rate ranges from $15.75 to $17.00 an hour, commensurate with experience. Overnight staff get an additional $3 an hour shift differential on top of their base rate when working an overnight shift.
