Join a dynamic team in a unique residential setting! Pathfinder Village seeks an enthusiastic, creative, and collaborative speech pathologist to foster effective communication skills in students with a variety of developmental disabilities. The speech pathologist will
- Evaluate students' communication disorders and make thoughtful recommendations
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Consult with staff and parents to support each student's communication needs
- Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
Assess the efficacy of augmentative communication systems in supporting meaningful interactions and encouraging independence
This position offers a reasonable workload in a beautiful country setting just 16 miles west of Cooperstown. NYS certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) required. NYS licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred .
Pathfinder Village is accepting applications for a full-time Music and Expressive Arts Specialist. Job duties include support of enrichment programming, primarily in music and expressive arts through a person-centered approach. Hours include some evenings and weekends.
Qualified individuals must possess a BS or BA, preferably in music, a valid NY State driver’s license, and basic writing and computer skills. Experience in the OPWDD field is preferred but not required. Pathfinder Village provides staff training from on-site clinicians and consultants specializing in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Pathfinder Village presently has 12-hour Overnight and Day shift openings for Direct Support Professionals. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required.

Pathfinder Village in Edmeston, New York is seeking a part-time licensed counselor to provide individual and group counseling to adults with developmental disabilities in a planned community setting. Time requirement is 6 hours during the week, afternoons and evening hours.
Qualifications: Licensed mental health counselor, psychologist, or licensed clinical social worker, and prior experience with the intellectual/Developmental Disability population.
