Special Education Teacher, Full-Time:

Pathfinder School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide direct instructional, evaluative, and supervisory services to all students to ensure the quality of classroom programs. Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Special Education, NYS certification as a Special Educator, and familiarity with current instructional and assessment practices.

Substitute/Per Diem Classroom Aides

Pathfinder School is seeking substitute and per diem Classroom Aides to provide instructional and other supports to students with intellectual/developmental disabilities in our unique K-12 learning environment.  Aides are supervised by instructional staff and work closely with students in an innovative and supportive class setting; Aides guide and mentor students as they grow academically and in independence skills.  These are part-time positions, following the weekly school calendar of Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

A high school or equivalency diploma is required, and experience in the NYS OPWDD field is preferred. Otsego Academy DSP, Full-Time:

Pathfinder Village has a full time opening for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our post-secondary program, Otsego Academy.  Primary responsibilities are to provide guidance and support to young adults with intellectual disabilities living away from home for the first time.  Duties include supporting informed choice during daily activities, facilitating independence, and providing supervision in and access to a variety of community settings,  Effective communicators who are able to take another’s perspective are encouraged to apply.  Applicants must hold a high school or equivalency diploma, valid NYS driver’s license with at least 3 years’ experience. The ability to obtain medication administration certification is required. 

 

Pathfinder Adult Day Services Specialists:

Pathfinder Village is currently accepting applications for Full-Time Adult Day Services Specialists. Responsibilities include providing formal and informal training for all habilitation and vocational activities to individuals served by Pathfinder Village Day Services. ADS staff also help individuals develop and maintain skill levels.  Adult Day Services Specialists must also maintain positive community relationships at all community/activity sites. Hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and as assigned by the Adult Day Services Manager.

Additional ADS staff are being recruited for part-time and per diem schedules, with hours as assigned by the Adult Day Services Manager.

At least one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and a clean NY State driver’s license (with at least three years of driving experience) is required. Experience working in a Day Services setting is preferred.

A high school or equivalency diploma, and computer skills for various software programs is necessary. Pathfinder Village offers a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package. 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., ($1 per hour Shift Differential offered):

Pathfinder Village presently has full-time openings for Direct Support Professionals, offering overnight (11 p.m. to 9 a.m. schedules. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required.

No prior work experience is required. Competitive wages and excellent benefits are offered.

Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required. No prior work experience is required. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required. No prior work experience is required.

Seeking: Full-Time Adult Day Services Program Coordinator

Pathfinder Village is a residential community for individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.

Due to expansion and growth, we are currently accepting applications for full-time Adult Day Services Program Coordinator.    Adult Day Services Program Coordinators are responsible for developing and monitoring the delivery of habilitative and/or vocational activities to individuals served by Pathfinder Village Day Services. Hours will be 7:30am – 3:30pm Monday-Friday.

A high school or equivalency diploma, basic computer skills and a valid NY State driver’s license are required.  Experience in the OPWDD field is preferred but not required.
