Special Education Teacher, Full-Time:

Pathfinder School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide direct instructional, evaluative, and supervisory services to all students to ensure the quality of classroom programs. Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Special Education, NYS certification as a Special Educator, and familiarity with current instructional and assessment practices.

Site Coordinator, Self-Directed Program:

Pathfinder Village is accepting applications for a full-time Site Coordinator, who will provide primary supervision and administrative oversight, quality and operational processes necessary to achieve the mission and vision of Pathfinder's Self-Directed Setting(s).  The Self-Directed Program is a unique program for adults with intellectual disabilities who live in a supervised apartment, often for the first time.

The Site Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • The training and supervision for all staff and associates with the program. This includes payroll.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective family, business and community partnerships as required for the success of the program.
  • Collaborating with leadership in the Residential Department to ensure all components of the program are aligned.
  • Detailed end of the month summaries to ensure each individual is being supported in every aspect of their life they may need.

This full-time position is a mix of day, evening and weekend on-site and/or community representation to assure program continuity and effectiveness. A valid NY State driver’s license is required. Management experience is preferred.  Qualified candidate must possess excellent organizational, written and verbal skills, and have experience with various computer programs.

Residential Team Leader, Full-Time:

Pathfinder Village's residential staff promotes independence, inclusion, individuality, and self-determination for individuals with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities by providing supervision and care, implementing and documenting support plans, assisting with personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication administration.  Presently we are seeing an engaged and supportive Residential Team Leader. 

This posting is for a management position supervising residential homes. Primary duties include supervision and training, payroll, quality assurance oversight, administrative record keeping, service coordination with other departments and partners (Nursing, MSC, Behavior, Day Program) and direct care coverage as warranted.

This is a Monday-Friday salaried position, and includes on-call duties. SCIP-R, Medication Administration, First Aid/CPR certifications are required. A college degree is preferred. A valid NY State driver’s license is required.  Pathfinder Village offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits package.

Otsego Academy DSP, Full-Time:

Pathfinder Village has a full time opening for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our post-secondary program, Otsego Academy.  Primary responsibilities are to provide guidance and support to young adults with intellectual disabilities living away from home for the first time.  Duties include supporting informed choice during daily activities, facilitating independence, and providing supervision in and access to a variety of community settings,  Effective communicators who are able to take another’s perspective are encouraged to apply.  Applicants must hold a high school or equivalency diploma, valid NYS driver’s license with at least 3 years’ experience. The ability to obtain medication administration certification is required. 

 

Direct Support Professionals, Full-Time,
11 p.m. to 9 a.m., ($1 per hour Shift Differential offered):

Pathfinder Village presently has full-time openings for Direct Support Professionals, offering overnight (11 p.m. to 9 a.m. schedules. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required.

No prior work experience is required. Competitive wages and excellent benefits are offered.

Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required. No prior work experience is required. Competitive wages and excellent benefits are offered. 
 

Direct Support Professionals,
Part-Time & Per Diem Schedules:

Pathfinder Village presently has part-time and per diem openings for Direct Support Professionals, offering a variety of hours (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. or 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.) and environments. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required. No prior work experience is required.
