All Hands On Deck
Vaccinations are a game-changer and the tool that will end the pandemic!
#1. People are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna), or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson).
#2. If you’ve been fully vaccinated, you can:
Gather indoors with fully vaccinated people without wearing a mask.
Gather indoors with unvaccinated people from one other household without masks (i.e., visiting with relatives who all live together) unless any of those people or anyone they live with has an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
Additional restrictions will be lifted for fully vaccinated people in the coming months.
Now, there is talk about new virus variants, but the evidence is the current vaccines are standing up to them very well. Manufacturers are working on new vaccines or variant-focused booster versions, in case they prove necessary. In addition, in early December of 2020, researchers began to find early indications that vaccinations can lower the risk of transmission.
