Pathfinder announces New Board Members

Edmeston, NY, November 30, 2021 … The Pathfinder Village Board of Directors has elected three new directors, William LeCates, MD, president of Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown; Michael Perrino, Chief Financial Officer of NYCM Insurance; and Stephanie Fadale, a parent advocate and a program manager with St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany.

“We’re excited to have three such outstanding new members serving on our Board of Directors,” said Paul C. Landers, president and chief executive officer of Pathfinder Village. “Each has a connection with Pathfinder, special talents and a strong belief in the work and mission of Pathfinder Village.”

Dr. LeCates is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine Nephrology Board Examination Committee. He earned his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore.

Additionally, Dr. LeCates serves as a colonel in the state’s Army National Guard and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq, and Operation Onward Liberty in Liberia. Dr. LeCates lives in Cooperstown with his wife, Debbie, and three children, Abigail, Grace, and Henry. Mrs. LeCates serves on the Pathfinder Village Foundation Board of Trustees, the fundraising and public engagement arm of Pathfinder Village.

Mr. Perrino, who also serves as Chief Risk Officer and Treasurer at NYCM, earned his MBA from Utica College and has earned professional certificates in executive development programs at The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania; The School of Business, University of Wisconsin; and Columbia Business School, Columbia University.

Mr. Perrino has been actively involved with Cooperstown Youth Football and many area boards, including the Pathfinder Village Foundation Board of Trustees, where he served for nine years. As a trustee, Mr. Perrino used his strategic planning, leadership, and fiscal management skills to assist with Foundation planning and projects. Mr. Perrino lives in Cooperstown with his wife, Colleen, and four children, Michael, Danielle, Meaghan, and Matthew.

Mrs. Fadale is the Provider Engagement Program Manager at St. Peter’s and has served other regional healthcare organizations during her career. She earned her master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. She served as the chair of Pathfinder Village Foundation and has had a lifelong interest in supporting non-profit agencies and advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities. She lives in Middle Grove, with her husband, Sean, and son, Colin; her son, J.T. resides at Pathfinder Village and is a recent graduate of Pathfinder School.
