Special Education Teacher

Pathfinder Village, a dynamic residential community for individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, is seeking the following position in accordance with the Pathfinder Village mission “that each life may find meaning.” 

Special Education Teacher:  to provide direct instructional, evaluative, and supervisory services to all students to ensure the quality of classroom programs at the Pathfinder School.  Qualifications include Master’s Degree in Special Education, NYS certification as a Special Educator, and familiarity with current instructional and assessment practices.

Direct Support Professionals, Full-Time,
11 p.m. to 9 a.m., ($1 per hour Shift Differential offered):

Pathfinder Village presently has full-time openings for Direct Support Professionals, offering overnight (11 p.m. to 9 a.m. schedules. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required. No prior work experience is required. Competitive wages and excellent benefits are offered.
 

Direct Support Professionals,
Full-Time, Evening Shifts:

Pathfinder Village presently has several full-time openings for Direct Support Professionals, offering evening (3 p.m. - 11 p.m.) schedules. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required. No prior work experience is required. Direct Support Professionals,
Part-Time & Per Diem Schedules:

Pathfinder Village presently has part-time and per diem openings for Direct Support Professionals, offering a variety of hours (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. or 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.) and environments. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care and residential guidance/supports for individuals living with intellectual and other disabilities within an open-access community setting. Additional duties involve advocating and supporting informed choices of individuals within the greater community. Strong record keeping skills, local travel, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing job training are required. No prior work experience is required.
