Helping Hand

Charitable donations in support of Pathfinder Village may be made by visiting our donation page on this website. You may also learn about the fund raising arm of the Village, the Pathfinder Village Foundation.

As part of our hands-on education initiative, Pathfinder Village, through the Kennedy•Willis Center on Down Syndrome, offers internships and volunteer opportunities for those hoping to gain experience in human services/non-profit agencies.  We work with intern candidates and their colleges to craft a program that will meet specific goals; volunteer programs are also individualized.

Internships:  Please e-mail us if you are a high school, undergraduate or graduate level student seeking an individualized training experience.  Our staff will work with your school to determine internship basics, credits, etc.  We welcome interns from throughout New York and the beyond to share their skill in administration, finance, program services, social work, education, development, etc.).  Click for a brochure

Volunteers: Community volunteers have assisted the Village in many capacities -- from serving at a social event, to assisting our recreation department for its regular schedule of programs.  Volunteers are vital to Pathfinder Village and add significantly to our ability to provide a rich experience to our residents.  Both individuals and groups -- scouts, 4-H clubs, sororities, etc. -- have joined us in our work.   To find out what you may contribute to Pathfinder Village and its residents, please e-mail us.  Your ideas are welcome.
